Ridgefield Costa Rica

Welcome to the blog that will keep parents and friends posted on the Eastridge Costa Rica Trip 2011. We have an amazing itinerary planned for the kids this year and it will be filled with educational experiences and fun and adventure.

Just to give a little backround knowledge of Costa Rica. We are located 10 degrees north of the equator which puts us in the heart of the tropics. Costa Rica is the size of West Virginia and is one of the most bio-diverse places on the planet. The population of Costa Rica is 4.5 million people and around 500,000 other different species of plants and animals.

There is more information to come and the idea behind this blog is to keep you posted on day to day activities. We post 2 or 3 times a day so if somebody makes a funny face in a big rapid you will see it before the day is over. The other reason for this blog is to educate those at home that did not have the chance to visit Costa Rica and give you an insight on the many natural beauties and interesting facts about this tropical paradise.

We are a medium size company and operate our trips on a personal level. Our company operates private family groups and student travel. Our guides have worked on a professional level of tourism for many years. We are a team of experienced guides that work on a teaching level of adventures and bio-diversity.

For the Ridgefield trip on the request of Jennifer Roth I will be joining in on the fun and being the Head Guide for this year's Ridgefied Adventure. I am Tom Ranieri and one of the owners of Costa Rican Resource S.A. I have lived in Costa Rica for 11 years and have rafted every river and know the country and people as well as you can. I have hired our guides with confidence knowing they are the best at what they do, working at the expert level dealing with safety and customer satisfaction. My personal background consists of all Wilderness rescue courses, years of rafting and adventure guiding, and courses at the Intistitute of Bio-Diversity here in Costa Rica.
