Birding in the Mountains

We just hiked to a waterfall and had a perfect view of the elusive Quetzal bird (actually called the "Resplendent Quetzal" because of its beautiful colors). In all my 10 yrs. of guiding I never had such a good view. And the Ridgefiels kids got to see it without really trying.

The next pix is the waterfall and the last two are the male Quetzal.

Even the kids are excited about birding now!
